Drug intelligence / Profile preview
The COVID-19 variant mRNA vaccine is an investigational messenger RNA-based vaccine developed by RpexBio for the prevention of COVID-19 caused by variant strains of the SARS-CoV-2 virus. The vaccine utilizes mRNA technology to deliver the genetic sequence encoding the SARS-CoV-2 spike antigen into host cells, where it is translated to elicit a protective immune response, including the production of neutralizing antibodies and T-cell activation. The program is currently in the IND-enabling phase, with an Investigational New Drug (IND) filing planned for 2025.
