Overview

**COVIDAX** is an investigational peptide-based prophylactic COVID-19 vaccine developed by **AXON Neuroscience**. It is designed from selected short peptide epitopes derived from the **SARS-CoV-2 spike glycoprotein** and aims to induce neutralizing antibody responses that block viral interaction with host cells. The program was reported to have shown positive preclinical activity in mice, including generation of antibodies capable of neutralizing live SARS-CoV-2 virus, and was planned to enter Phase 1 clinical testing in late 2020.
