Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CoVLP (trivalent) is an enveloped virus-like particle (eVLP) vaccine candidate developed by Sferogen for the prevention of COVID-19. The vaccine is produced using Sferogen's eVLP platform, which generates non-infectious particles that mimic the structural characteristics of the SARS-CoV-2 virus. By presenting viral antigens in this native-like conformation, the vaccine is designed to elicit robust neutralizing antibody and T-cell immune responses. As a trivalent formulation, it is intended to provide broad protection against multiple variants of the SARS-CoV-2 virus. The candidate is currently in Phase 1 clinical development.
