Drug intelligence / Profile preview
COYA 201 is an autologous regulatory T-cell (Treg)-derived exosome therapy being developed by Coya Therapeutics for the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases, specifically amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). The therapy utilizes exosomes—small extracellular vesicles—secreted by a patient's own Tregs. These exosomes are designed to deliver anti-inflammatory and neuroprotective signals to the central nervous system, aiming to modulate the neuroinflammatory environment characteristic of ALS. The technology was licensed from The Methodist Hospital and is part of Coya's broader Treg-based platform.
