Overview

COYA 206 is an investigational immunomodulatory therapy consisting of antigen-directed regulatory T cell (Treg)-derived exosomes designed to modulate immune responses. It is being developed by Coya Therapeutics for use in neurodegenerative and other inflammation-related diseases. COYA 206 represents a new molecular entity in the therapeutic pipeline and leverages exosome technology to exert immunoregulatory effects, with Treg-derived exosomes intended to restore immune homeostasis by modulating inflammation. The drug leverages recent advances in exosome-polymer hybrid technology with intellectual property originating at Carnegie Mellon University. Its principal mechanism of action is immunomodulation, aiming to restore anti-inflammatory functions and mitigate pathological inflammation.
