Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CP-ΔSOCS3 is a cell-permeable recombinant protein therapeutic developed by Cellivery Therapeutics for the treatment of leptin-related disorders, including obesity and type 2 diabetes. The drug consists of a truncated form of the Suppressor of Cytokine Signaling 3 (SOCS3) protein, specifically the SH2 domain, fused to a proprietary hydrophobic cell-penetrating peptide called the advanced Macromolecule Transduction Domain (aMTD). Utilizing Cellivery's Therapeuticmolecule Systemic Delivery Technology (TSDT) platform, CP-ΔSOCS3 is designed to enter cells and competitively inhibit the interaction between the leptin receptor (ObR) and endogenous SOCS3. By disrupting this negative feedback loop, the drug restores leptin sensitivity and maintains anti-appetite signaling in the hypothalamus, addressing the leptin resistance commonly observed in metabolic disorders.
