Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CP-010 is an autologous CAR T cell therapy being developed by Cellergy Pharma for the treatment of severe allergic diseases, including uncontrollable severe allergic asthma and severe food allergy. The therapy utilizes chimeric antigen receptors (CARs) engineered to target the Extracellular Membrane-Proximal Domain (EMPD) of membrane-bound immunoglobulin E (IgE) and the high-affinity IgE receptor (FcεRI). By specifically identifying and eliminating IgE-producing B cells and plasma cells, CP-010 aims to remove the underlying cause of atopic allergic diseases. Preclinical research indicates that this approach could potentially alleviate symptoms with a single treatment, offering a significant advancement over current maintenance therapies. The company plans to initiate Phase I clinical testing in 2026.
