Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CP-108 is an investigational antisense oligonucleotide (ASO) being developed by Contera Pharma for the treatment of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). Utilizing Contera's proprietary RNA technology platforms, including OligoDisc, CP-108 is designed to precisely target and silence specific RNA sequences involved in the pathogenesis of ALS. The therapeutic objective is to modulate gene expression to address the underlying molecular drivers of neurodegeneration, such as the toxic accumulation of proteins or RNA transcripts. In October 2025, Contera Pharma entered into a strategic research collaboration with Lundbeck to further advance its RNA-targeting pipeline, which includes candidates like CP-108. As of early 2025, the drug is in the research and preclinical development stage.
