Overview

CP-383 is a first-in-class small molecule inhibitor developed by Tasca Therapeutics for the treatment of advanced and metastatic solid tumors, particularly in patients whose tumors harbor specific genetic profiles. The drug targets unique lipid-binding pockets on proteins that undergo auto-palmitoylation, a post-translational modification implicated in cancer cell proliferation and survival. By binding to these hydrophobic protein pockets, CP-383 aims to disrupt oncogenic signaling pathways associated with tumor growth. Preclinical studies have demonstrated robust anti-cancer activity across multiple human cancer types, including small cell lung cancer, colorectal cancer, head and neck cancer, and glioblastoma. Notably, CP-383 has shown the ability to cross the blood-brain barrier in animal models[2][4][5][7][9].
