Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Cp-CAP is a dental medical device developed by lege artis Pharma GmbH + Co. KG, specifically designed for use in prosthetic dentistry and dental restoration. It is a zinc oxide eugenol cement enriched with calcium hydroxide, provided as a two-component system consisting of a powder and a solution for individual mixing. The product is primarily indicated for direct and indirect pulp capping to maintain the vitality of endangered dental pulp and for the attachment of temporary restorations. Its formulation leverages the sedative properties of eugenol and the dentin-stimulating effects of calcium hydroxide to prevent pulpitic discomfort following tooth preparation. Additionally, Cp-CAP is slightly radiopaque, allowing for visibility on X-rays during follow-up procedures.
