Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CP110 is a long-acting injectable (LAI) formulation of ketamine being developed by Consegna Pharma for the treatment of psychiatric disorders, specifically depression. Designed to provide sustained therapeutic levels over a 28-day period, CP110 utilizes Consegna's proprietary delivery technology to improve patient compliance and maintain consistent drug exposure compared to traditional ketamine administration. Ketamine acts as a non-competitive antagonist of the N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) receptor, a subtype of ionotropic glutamate receptor. By blocking the NMDA receptor, ketamine modulates glutamatergic neurotransmission, leading to rapid-acting and sustained antidepressant effects. The program is currently in the preclinical stage of development.
