Overview

CP201 is an orally available small molecule drug candidate being developed by RDP Pharma. It is the S-enantiomer of the synthetic alkyllysophospholipid edelfosine. CP201 acts by modulating lipid rafts within cell membranes, which disrupts oncogenic signal transduction and induces apoptosis in malignant cells. Specifically, it triggers signaling through the CD95 (FAS) death receptor pathway and inhibits the PI3K-Akt survival pathway. The drug is being investigated for the treatment of various cancers, including lung, brain, and pancreatic cancers, as well as hematological and solid tumors. Additionally, it has shown potential in treating autoimmune diseases such as multiple sclerosis due to its anti-inflammatory properties.
