CP902 is a long-acting injectable formulation of octreotide, developed by Consegna Pharma as a generic version of Sandostatin LAR. It is designed as a 28-day release depot for the treatment of acromegaly and symptoms associated with carcinoid tumors. As a somatostatin receptor agonist, octreotide suppresses the secretion of growth hormone and various other peptide hormones. The program is being developed via the Abbreviated New Drug Application (ANDA) regulatory pathway and is currently in the preclinical stage.
