Overview

CPC634 is a novel nanomedicine formulation consisting of the chemotherapy agent docetaxel temporarily entrapped within stabilized CriPec nanoparticles. This design aims to enhance tumor accumulation and localized release of docetaxel at the target site, thereby increasing intratumoral drug exposure while reducing systemic toxicity compared to conventional docetaxel. The unique pharmacokinetic profile of CPC634 results in higher total intratumoral concentrations and lower peak plasma levels, which may reduce side effects such as neutropenia. Developed primarily for cancer treatment, especially platinum-resistant ovarian cancer, CPC634 has undergone phase I and II clinical trials but did not demonstrate significant clinical activity in recurrent platinum-resistant ovarian cancer[2][3][5][6].
