CPEB4-transduced dendritic cells are **autologous or allogeneic dendritic cells (DCs) genetically modified to express cytoplasmic polyadenylation element binding protein 4 (CPEB4)**. This cell therapy is under investigation as an immunotherapeutic vaccine, especially for glioblastoma. In this context, dendritic cells are transduced, typically using a recombinant adenoviral vector carrying the CPEB4 gene, which promotes the presentation of CPEB4 as a tumor-associated antigen, activating the immune system against CPEB4-expressing tumor cells. Preclinical evidence indicates that these modified DCs induce cytotoxic T lymphocytes (CTLs) that specifically target glioma cells, enhance IFN-γ-secreting T cells, reduce tumor growth, and improve survival in mouse models. The mechanism of action is based on DCs’ potent antigen-presenting capabilities, leading to the induction of a targeted antitumor immune response[2][3].
