Overview
**CpG-aptMut** is an investigational synthetic bifunctional oligonucleotide used as an inactive comparator for CpG-aptaDiR in preclinical acute myeloid leukemia research. It consists of a TLR9-targeting CpG oligodeoxynucleotide linked to a mutant version of the DNMT1-interacting RNA aptamer. In the reported AML studies, CpG-aptMut did not produce the DNMT1 inhibition, antiproliferative activity, differentiation, or immunogenic-cell-death effects observed with CpG-aptaDiR. It is therefore a negative-control construct rather than an independently advancing therapeutic candidate.
