Overview

CPG211 is a preclinical-stage non-viral gene therapy being developed by Alephoson for the treatment of retinal vascular diseases, including neovascular age-related macular degeneration (nAMD), diabetic macular edema (DME), and retinal vein occlusion (RVO). The therapy utilizes Alephoson's proprietary Cell-Penetrating Gene (CPG) platform, which employs a peptide-based delivery system to transport therapeutic DNA plasmids into retinal cells. This approach is designed to provide sustained intraocular expression of therapeutic proteins, potentially reducing the treatment burden associated with frequent intravitreal injections of conventional biologics.
