Overview

CPGJ602 is a recombinant human-mouse chimeric monoclonal antibody that targets the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR). Developed by Sunshine Guojian Pharmaceutical (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., it is designed for the treatment of metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC). The drug functions similarly to cetuximab, binding to the extracellular domain of EGFR to block ligand binding and subsequent activation of downstream signaling pathways that promote cell proliferation, survival, and angiogenesis. CPGJ602 has been evaluated in Phase 1 clinical trials to assess its pharmacokinetics, safety, tolerability, and immunogenicity compared to cetuximab in patients with mCRC who have failed prior chemotherapy regimens.
