Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**CPI-300 is a non-specific development code reused for at least two distinct pharmaceutical products.** IntelGenx used CPI-300 for a high-strength 450 mg extended-release oral formulation of bupropion hydrochloride for major depressive disorder, later commercialized in the United States as Forfivo XL. Separately, Coordination Pharmaceuticals used CPI-300 for an intravenous nanoscale coordination polymer nanoparticle formulation containing two undisclosed antitumor agents; this oncology product entered a first-in-human Phase 1 study in patients with advanced solid tumors. These products are chemically, mechanistically, and developmentally distinct and must not be merged into one drug record.
