Overview

CPL-01 is an extended-release injectable formulation of ropivacaine hydrochloride, a local anesthetic of the amide type. Developed by Cali Biosciences, it is designed to provide long-acting perioperative analgesia for the management of postoperative pain, potentially reducing the requirement for systemic opioids. The drug utilizes a proprietary delivery system to sustain the release of ropivacaine at the surgical site. CPL-01 has advanced into Phase 3 clinical development for indications including bunionectomy and inguinal herniorrhaphy, and is the subject of a strategic commercialization partnership with Grand Life Sciences.
