Overview

CPNE1 small interfering RNA lentiviral vector is a gene therapy research tool designed to silence the expression of the CPNE1 (Copine 1) gene. It utilizes a lentiviral vector system, often based on the pGCSIL-GFP plasmid, to deliver a specific small interfering RNA (siRNA) sequence (e.g., 5′-CACACAACTGGTCTCATACTT-3′) into target cells. CPNE1 is a calcium-dependent phospholipid-binding protein that has been identified as an oncogene in various cancers, including osteosarcoma and non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). By knocking down CPNE1 expression, this tool inhibits cell proliferation, migration, and invasion, and can enhance sensitivity to chemotherapeutic agents like cisplatin and adriamycin. It is primarily used in preclinical academic research to study tumorigenesis and evaluate CPNE1 as a potential therapeutic target.
