CPO-100

CPO-100 is an albumin-bound nanoparticle formulation of docetaxel, a taxane chemotherapy agent. Developed by Conjupro Biotherapeutics, a subsidiary of CSPC Pharmaceutical Group, it is designed to improve the safety profile and tumor-targeted drug exposure of docetaxel by eliminating the use of polysorbate-80 and the requirement for steroid pretreatment. The drug works by binding to tubulin, which stabilizes microtubules and inhibits their depolymerization, ultimately leading to cell cycle arrest and apoptosis. CPO-100 is currently being evaluated in Phase 1 clinical trials for the treatment of various advanced solid tumors, including breast, gastric, head and neck, lung, ovarian, and prostate cancers, where it has shown preliminary evidence of disease control and antitumor activity.
