CPU-118 is a novel small-molecule multi-target tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) developed by China Pharmaceutical University. It is designed to simultaneously inhibit Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor Receptor 2 (VEGFR2) and Hepatocyte Growth Factor Receptor (c-Met), two critical pathways involved in tumor angiogenesis, growth, and metastasis. By blocking these targets, CPU-118 suppresses the formation of new blood vessels and inhibits the proliferation and migration of tumor cells. It is primarily being developed for the treatment of advanced solid tumors, with a specific focus on hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), where dual inhibition of VEGFR and c-Met pathways may overcome resistance to single-target therapies. CPU-118 is currently undergoing Phase 1 clinical evaluation in China.
