CR-50

CR-50 is an antibody designed to therapeutically inhibit Reelin, a large extracellular glycoprotein. Reelin plays critical roles in neuronal development and synaptic plasticity in the central nervous system, and also in non-neuronal functions such as promoting endothelial-leukocyte adhesion in inflammation. CR-50 works by interfering with Reelin's homopolymerization and signaling, particularly through its N-terminal region, which is critical for efficient signal transduction and multimer formation. This inhibition aims to reduce inflammation, leukocyte infiltration, and pannus formation in autoimmune diseases, and to modulate neuronal processes in neurological conditions.
