Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CR002 is a fully human monoclonal antibody that neutralizes platelet-derived growth factor D (PDGF-D), a protein implicated in the pathogenesis of kidney inflammation. By blocking PDGF-D, which stimulates mesangial cell proliferation and extracellular matrix accumulation, CR002 aims to treat nephropathies such as IgA nephropathy, lupus nephritis, and diabetic nephropathy. The drug was developed using XenoMouse technology and has demonstrated safety and tolerability in Phase I clinical trials. It has received Orphan Drug status from the US FDA for IgA nephropathy[1][3][4][5][9].
