Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Cramadol-P is a fixed-dose combination analgesic developed and marketed by Lyf Healthcare, primarily indicated for the management of moderate to severe pain. It combines tramadol, a synthetic opioid of the aminocyclohexanol group, with paracetamol (acetaminophen). Tramadol functions as a mu-opioid receptor agonist and also inhibits the neuronal reuptake of serotonin and norepinephrine, enhancing descending pain inhibitory pathways. Paracetamol acts as a central analgesic and antipyretic, likely through the inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis in the central nervous system. This dual-action formulation provides rapid and sustained analgesia with a lower dose of the opioid component compared to monotherapy.
