Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**Cranberry juice cocktail** is a non-standardized cranberry-derived beverage intervention evaluated by the National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health in the completed exploratory study NCT00087828, *Cranberry Juice Metabolites in Urine*. The study investigated urinary metabolites produced after consumption in healthy women and sought to identify constituents with antibacterial or antiadhesion activity relevant to prevention of urinary tract infections. Cranberry products are hypothesized to reduce uropathogen attachment to uroepithelial cells, particularly for uropathogenic *Escherichia coli*, but this trial intervention was not identified as a single purified active substance, standardized extract, or named commercial product.
