Overview
CRB-602 is a monoclonal antibody that specifically inhibits both integrins αvβ6 and αvβ8, which have been implicated in fibrotic diseases and cancers of epithelial origin. By targeting these integrins, CRB-602 is designed to block the activation of transforming growth factor β (TGFβ), a multifunctional cytokine that plays a key role in fibrosis and promotes cancer growth and metastasis via its effects in the tumor microenvironment. The dual inhibition of αvβ6 and αvβ8 is considered a rational approach to managing fibrotic diseases and carcinomas. CRB-602 was developed by Panorama Research and later licensed and developed by Corbus Pharmaceuticals for potential use in oncology and fibrotic disease indications[1][2][4][7][8][9][10][12].
