CRB0401

CRB0401 is a recombinant humanized monoclonal antibody developed by Tsinghua University and Beijing Cerebro Pharmaceutical Technology as a biosimilar to bevacizumab. It targets vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), a key mediator of angiogenesis that is often overexpressed in various cancers. By binding to VEGF, CRB0401 prevents the ligand from interacting with its receptors, VEGFR-1 and VEGFR-2, on the surface of endothelial cells. This inhibition suppresses the formation of new blood vessels, thereby reducing the nutrient and oxygen supply to the tumor and inhibiting tumor growth and metastasis. CRB0401 is primarily being developed for the treatment of advanced or recurrent non-squamous non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).
