Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CRBT-301 is a preclinical mRNA-based vaccine candidate developed by Crafton Biotechnology, a subsidiary of the South Korean company KRAFTON. The program is specifically designed for infectious disease prevention and pandemic preparedness. CRBT-301 utilizes the proprietary **PureCap®+** mRNA capping technology, which is engineered to enhance the stability and translation efficiency of the mRNA while potentially reducing unwanted immunogenicity. A key differentiator of this candidate is its **LNP-free** (lipid nanoparticle-free) delivery platform, which is optimized for **intradermal** administration. This approach aims to overcome common challenges associated with LNP-based mRNA vaccines, such as cold-chain requirements and systemic reactogenicity. As of late 2024, the program is in the IND-enabling phase of development.
