CRCL-AlloVax is an individualized therapeutic cancer vaccine developed by Mirror Biologics for the treatment of advanced hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). The vaccine is a combination therapy consisting of two distinct components: AlloStim and CRCL (Chaperone-Rich Cell Lysate). AlloStim is an allogeneic, off-the-shelf cell therapy composed of activated Th1-memory CD4+ T-cells that serve as a potent biological adjuvant by secreting Th1 cytokines (such as interferon-gamma and IL-2) to stimulate the patient's immune system. CRCL is an autologous component derived from the patient's own tumor tissue, containing a mixture of tumor-specific antigens and chaperone proteins (heat shock proteins) that facilitate the uptake and presentation of antigens by dendritic cells. The combination is designed to overcome tumor-induced immunosuppression and prime a systemic, tumor-specific T-cell response.
