CreaVax-RCC is an autologous dendritic cell-based cancer vaccine developed by JW CreaGene for the treatment of metastatic renal cell carcinoma (RCC). The therapy is produced by isolating mononuclear cells from a patient's blood and differentiating them into dendritic cells. These dendritic cells are then sensitized *ex vivo* with the patient's own tumor lysate and Keyhole Limpet Hemocyanin (KLH) as an immune adjuvant. Once injected back into the patient intradermally, the activated dendritic cells migrate to lymph nodes and induce a cancer-specific immune response, primarily through the activation of cytotoxic T lymphocytes (CTLs) that can target and kill tumor cells. CreaVax-RCC received conditional approval in South Korea in 2007 for metastatic RCC.
