Credelio Quattro

Credelio Quattro is a veterinary combination drug formulated as a monthly chewable tablet for dogs and puppies. It provides broad-spectrum protection against six major types of parasites, including fleas, ticks, heartworm disease, roundworms, hookworms, and tapeworms. The product contains four active ingredients—lotilaner (an isoxazoline ectoparasiticide), moxidectin (a macrocyclic lactone endectocide), praziquantel (an anthelmintic effective against cestodes), and pyrantel (a tetrahydropyrimidine anthelmintic effective against nematodes). Lotilaner acts by inhibiting GABA-gated chloride channels in arthropods leading to paralysis and death of fleas and ticks. Moxidectin interferes with neurotransmission in nematodes and prevents heartworm disease by targeting Dirofilaria immitis larvae. Praziquantel increases the permeability of cell membranes to calcium ions in tapeworms causing paralysis and death. Pyrantel acts as a depolarizing neuromuscular blocking agent on susceptible intestinal worms such as roundworms and hookworms[1][2][3][7]. The product is approved for use in dogs 8 weeks of age or older weighing at least 3.3 pounds.
