CREPT-618 is an investigational small nucleic acid therapeutic developed by Heya (Beijing) Pharmaceutical Technology in collaboration with the Cancer Institute and Hospital, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences. It is designed to target the Cell cycle Related and Expression-Elevated Protein in Tumor (CREPT), also known as RPRD1B (Regulation of nuclear pre-mRNA domain-containing protein 1B). CREPT is an oncogene that is frequently overexpressed in various malignancies and plays a critical role in promoting tumor growth by regulating the transcription of cell cycle-related genes, such as Cyclin D1, and modulating the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway. CREPT-618 utilizes RNA interference or a similar nucleic acid-based mechanism to silence the expression of this protein, thereby inhibiting tumor cell proliferation and progression. It is currently being evaluated in the PLATFORM2 Phase I/II clinical trial (NCT06264310) for patients with advanced rare solid tumors who have failed standard therapies.
