Overview
The CRIE quadrivalent meningococcal vaccine is a non-live vaccine candidate developed by the Central Research Institute of Epidemiology (CRIE) in Russia. It is designed to provide active immunity against *Neisseria meningitidis* serogroups A, C, W-135, and Y, which are among the most common causes of invasive meningococcal disease, including meningitis. The vaccine is intended for pediatric use, specifically targeting children who have not previously received a meningococcal vaccine. A clinical trial for children aged 3 to 11 years is scheduled to commence in September 2025 to evaluate the safety and immunogenicity of the formulation.
