Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Crila Forte is a herbal medicinal product developed by ThienDuocPharma JSC, containing a 500mg dried extract of *Crinum latifolium* L. (Royal Virgin plant) per capsule, which is equivalent to 2.5mg of total alkaloids. It is indicated for the treatment of uterine fibroids in women and benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) in men, specifically to alleviate symptoms such as urinary difficulty and frequent nighttime urination. The bioactive alkaloids in the extract function by inhibiting the proliferation of tumor cells and reducing their nutrient uptake, ultimately inducing apoptosis. The product is manufactured in a GMP-WHO certified facility using raw materials from GACP-WHO certified plantations in Vietnam. Crila Forte is a higher-strength formulation of the original Crila product, which contains 250mg of the extract.
