Overview

Crizotinib + bevacizumab is a combination therapy consisting of two distinct anticancer agents used primarily in the treatment of certain types of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Crizotinib is a small molecule tyrosine kinase inhibitor that targets anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK), hepatocyte growth factor receptor (HGFR, c-MET), ROS1, and Recepteur d'Origine Nantais (RON). It inhibits tumor cell proliferation and survival by blocking these kinases, particularly effective in tumors with ALK or ROS1 rearrangements[6]. Bevacizumab is a monoclonal antibody that binds to vascular endothelial growth factor A (VEGF-A), inhibiting angiogenesis—the formation of new blood vessels necessary for tumor growth[8]. The combination aims to target both oncogenic signaling pathways and the tumor microenvironment. Both drugs are approved individually for various cancers; their combination has been explored in clinical settings for enhanced efficacy against advanced NSCLC and other malignancies[2][5].
