**crizotinib-IR786** is an experimental covalent drug-dye conjugate comprising the multikinase inhibitor crizotinib and the heptamethine cyanine dye IR786. It was developed as a tumor-targeted therapeutic approach for glioblastoma, leveraging IR786-associated tumor localization while retaining crizotinib kinase-inhibitory activity. In preclinical glioblastoma models, free crizotinib-IR786 and an mPEG-PLA micellar formulation showed greater cytotoxicity than crizotinib alone; intranasally administered micelles accumulated in orthotopic glioblastoma tumors in mice. The conjugate is not an approved medicine and remains preclinical.
