Overview

CRLX101 is a nanopharmaceutical that combines camptothecin, an anti-cancer compound, with a cyclodextrin-based polymer. It is designed to improve the delivery and efficacy of camptothecin by preferentially accumulating in cancer tissue, potentially reducing toxic side effects. Developed by Mark E. Davis and associates at Insert Therapeutics, Inc. (now Calando Pharmaceuticals, Inc.), it was licensed to Cerulean Pharma.
