CRMD-005 is a proprietary nanoparticle formulation of taurolidine developed by CorMedix for the treatment of pediatric cancers, including neuroblastoma and osteosarcoma. The formulation utilizes NanoProteagen's NanoPro™ nanoparticle delivery technology, which is designed to selectively target tumor cells and minimize systemic toxicity. CRMD-005 is being investigated in preclinical studies, both as a monotherapy and in combination with vincristine, in collaboration with the Pediatric Oncology Experimental Therapeutics Investigators' Consortium (POETIC).
