CRNDE short hairpin RNA (sh-CRNDE) is an experimental RNA interference (RNAi) agent designed to silence the expression of the long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) Colorectal Neoplasia Differentially Expressed (CRNDE). In preclinical models of ovarian cancer, CRNDE has been identified as a driver of cisplatin resistance by modulating the SRSF1/TIA1 signaling pathway. By utilizing shRNA to knock down CRNDE levels, researchers have demonstrated increased sensitivity to cisplatin and reduced tumor growth in vitro and in vivo. This agent is primarily used as a research tool to explore the functional role of lncRNAs in chemoresistant malignancies and to validate CRNDE as a potential therapeutic target.
