Cromolyn sodium prevents the release of inflammatory mediators such as histamine and leukotrienes from mast cells by stabilizing the cell membrane, likely through the activation of G protein-coupled receptor 35 (GPR35), thereby addressing the underlying allergic response. Xylometazoline hydrochloride is a sympathomimetic agent that stimulates alpha-adrenergic receptors in the nasal mucosa, leading to vasoconstriction and a reduction in nasal congestion and edema.
