Overview

Cronilief is a nutraceutical ingredient developed by Indena S.p.A., featuring palmitoylethanolamide (PEA) as its active component. PEA is a naturally occurring fatty acid amide known for its neuroprotective and anti-inflammatory properties, modulating pain signaling pathways and pro-inflammatory stress. Cronilief utilizes Indena's proprietary Phytosome technology to enhance the bioavailability of PEA by up to six times compared to standard formulations. It is primarily investigated for the management of chronic pain conditions, including musculoskeletal discomfort and lower back pain, where clinical studies have demonstrated significant improvements in discomfort levels at daily dosages of 300 mg to 600 mg.
