Overview

**Cross-linked hyaluronic acid + aloe vera** is a topical combination used primarily in wound healing, skin regeneration, and cosmetic applications. This combination leverages the properties of both **cross-linked hyaluronic acid**, which provides moisturization, volume enhancement, structural integrity, and promotes fibroblast activity, and **aloe vera**, known for its anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, antioxidant, and tissue-regenerative properties. Cross-linked hyaluronic acid enhances the hydrogel's stability and controls release of therapeutic agents, while aloe vera's active compounds stimulate epithelial and fibroblast proliferation, increase collagen quantity and cross-linking, modulate inflammatory pathways (including JAK1-STAT1/3 inhibition and reduction of IL-6, IL-8, IL-12, and TNF-alpha), and promote angiogenesis. This combination is mainly developed for wound dressing and tissue regeneration, benefiting from both agents' moisture retention and healing enhancement. It is especially effective for burns, ulcers, and chronic wounds, and is also used in some cosmetic dermal fillers and skincare products[1][2][3].
