The Crossbow Therapeutics multi-target program is a discovery-stage research effort utilizing the proprietary T-Bolt™ technology platform to develop T-cell receptor mimetic (TCRm) bispecific antibodies. These molecules are designed to target intracellular cancer-specific proteins that are processed and presented as peptide fragments by Human Leukocyte Antigen (HLA) complexes on the cell surface. The T-Bolt molecules function as bispecific T-cell engagers (BiTEs); one arm of the antibody binds with high specificity to the peptide-HLA complex (mimicking the natural recognition of a T-cell receptor), while the other arm binds to the CD3 receptor on T cells. This dual binding redirects the cytotoxic activity of T cells to selectively eliminate cancer cells expressing the target intracellular antigens. This program is currently in the discovery phase and is intended to address multiple cancer types by targeting a variety of undisclosed tumor-associated antigens.
