CRPE7A2 is an investigational T-cell receptor (TCR) bispecific antibody, also referred to as a TCR-fusion protein, developed by Corregene Biotechnology for the treatment of HPV16-positive conditions, including cervical cancer and persistent HPV16 infections. Engineered using the proprietary SMART-TCR platform, CRPE7A2 is designed to recognize a specific peptide derived from the HPV16 E7 oncoprotein presented by the HLA-A*02:01 MHC complex. The molecule functions as a T-cell engager, with one arm binding the intracellularly derived peptide-MHC target on the surface of infected or malignant cells, and the other arm binding to the CD3 receptor on T cells. This dual binding facilitates the formation of a synthetic immunological synapse, leading to the recruitment and activation of T cells to selectively kill the target cells. As of early 2024, CRPE7A2 is in the preclinical stages of development.
