A combination therapy consisting of CRS-207 (a live-attenuated Listeria monocytogenes vaccine engineered to express mesothelin), cisplatin (a platinum-based chemotherapy agent), cyclophosphamide (an alkylating agent used as an immunomodulator), and pemetrexed (a folate analog chemotherapy agent). This combination is designed to treat malignant pleural mesothelioma (MPM) by combining immunotherapy with standard chemotherapy. CRS-207 stimulates both innate and adaptive immunity against mesothelin, a tumor-associated antigen highly expressed in MPM, while low-dose cyclophosphamide is used to enhance immune responses. The chemotherapy components (cisplatin and pemetrexed) provide direct cytotoxic effects against cancer cells.
