Overview

CRTA1A2 (also identified as CRTM1A2) is an autologous T-cell receptor (TCR) engineered T-cell therapy developed by Corregene Biotechnology. The therapy is designed to target the cancer/testis antigen MAGE A1 (melanoma-associated antigen 1), which is frequently overexpressed in various solid malignancies including lung squamous cell carcinoma, hepatocellular carcinoma, esophageal carcinoma, and stomach adenocarcinoma, but has restricted expression in normal tissues. Utilizing Corregene's proprietary SMART-TCR affinity optimization platform, the T cells are engineered to express high-affinity TCRs that specifically recognize MAGE A1 peptides presented by HLA molecules on the surface of tumor cells. This recognition triggers T-cell activation and the subsequent targeted elimination of MAGE A1-positive cancer cells.
