CryoVein SG is a cryopreserved human vascular allograft (saphenous or femoral vein) processed using proprietary SynerGraft technology, developed and marketed by Artivion (formerly CryoLife). The SynerGraft process is a decellularization method intended to remove donor cellular material and antigens while maintaining the structural and mechanical integrity of the extracellular matrix, thereby reducing the risk of immune rejection and promoting potential recellularization by the recipient's cells. It is primarily indicated for use in vascular reconstruction, particularly for infrainguinal bypass in patients requiring limb salvage, the creation of arteriovenous (AV) access for hemodialysis, and the replacement of infected prosthetic vascular grafts. It serves as a critical biological alternative when a patient's own autologous veins are unavailable or unsuitable, especially in infected surgical fields where synthetic grafts are contraindicated.
