Overview
CryptiVax-1001 is an off-the-shelf, multivalent mRNA-based therapeutic cancer vaccine developed by Epitopea. It utilizes the company's proprietary CryptoMap platform to identify and target 'Cryptigens'—a novel class of shared, aberrantly expressed tumor-specific antigens (aeTSAs) derived from previously overlooked non-coding regions of the 'dark genome.' By delivering mRNA encoding multiple Cryptigens, the therapy is designed to activate a robust and durable T-cell mediated immune response against cancer cells. Its primary indication is high-grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC), specifically as a frontline maintenance therapy for patients with HRP+/BRCA-wild-type tumors who have limited treatment options following standard chemotherapy.
